Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff and local Liberal candidates from Brampton and Mississauga take questions from representatives of multicultural media outlets
BRAMPTON-Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff says he would hold regular meetings about once a month with all of the opposition leaders if he were elected prime minister.
Taking questions Tuesday night from multicultural media outlets in the Toronto region, Ignatieff noted that he only remembered having three meetings with Prime Minister Stephen Harper in the last Parliament.
Ignatieff explained it would be important to keep regular contact with the other parties to hear their concerns about policy decisions.
The Liberal leader wrapped up his campaign day with a rally and town hall meeting in the riding of Brampton West where the incumbent , Liberal Andrew Kania is in the midst of a fierce campaign war with Conservative Kyle Seebak.
Ignatieff took nearly an hour of questions on a wide range of issues including gas prices, the environment, the role of the military and the economy, and concluded with his customary call for the Liberal rank-and-file to “rise up” and replace Harper’s government.
